Q2: Is the chrome finish permanent, or will it rust?
A: The covers are made from high-grade ABS plastic with triple-layer chrome plating. Unlike metal, ABS plastic is rust-proof, and the chrome is designed to withstand heat and rain without peeling easily.
Q3: How many pieces are included in the box?
A: This is a comprehensive 11-piece set. It includes the long handle covers and the matching small end caps (catchers) for all doors to ensure a complete and uniform look.
Q4: Do I need a mechanic or any tools to install these?
A: Not at all. These are DIY (Do-It-Yourself) accessories. They come with pre-applied high-strength adhesive tape on the back. You simply peel and stick them onto your existing door handles.
Q5: Will these covers damage my car’s original paint?
A: No. The adhesive used is automotive-grade, which is safe for your car’s paint. If you ever decide to remove them, they can be taken off without leaving permanent marks or damaging the handle.
Q6: Can I wash my car after installing the chrome covers?
A: We recommend waiting at least 24 to 48 hours after installation before washing your car. This allows the adhesive to bond perfectly to the handle surface.
Q7: Are these actual replacement handles?
A: No, these are covers that sit on top of your original factory handles. They are decorative garnish meant to enhance the exterior styling.
Q8: What should I do if the tape loses its grip?
A: The pre-applied tape is very strong; however, ensure the handle is 100% clean and dry before applying. If you ever need to re-apply, you can use any high-quality 3M automotive double-sided tape.
